Our Cichlid Sand, Gravel and Substrates are a great alternative to using artificial plastic or rubber ornaments. It provides living space for beneficial microbes and anchoring for plants. It also helps with the filtering process of the water in your cichlid aquarium tank or pond by increasing the surface area available for nitrifying bacteria to colonize.
Pure Water Pebbles® DRY Cichlid Sand, Gravel and Substrates will maintain the range of pH levels needed to maintain a healthier aquarium for your cichlid pet fish. African Cichlids prefer alkaline water conditions with a pH levels 7.0 or higher. African Cichlid
